Easter Celebration and Social Service by PMK FEB UGM with Children at the Children Crisis Center

Saturday, April 25, 2026, became a day filled with warmth and joy for the children at the Children Crisis Center managed by Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia. It was more than just a visit—it was a meaningful encounter between compassion and hope, where care was expressed through real and tangible actions.

Around 30 students from PMK FEB UGM gathered with 14 children from the Children Crisis Center, accompanied by 4 facilitators from Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia. In this togetherness, a simple yet deeply meaningful atmosphere was created.

This activity was designed as a social service combined with an Easter worship and celebration. Yet beyond that, it became a reflection of faith—reminding us that love is not merely spoken but lived out through action. In every game played, every laughter shared, and every gift given, there was a message of hope and new life—the essence of Easter itself.

The children were invited to play, laugh, and freely express themselves. They were not merely recipients of the program, but active participants—heard, valued, and celebrated for who they are.

This is where we see that what may seem like a simple activity actually carries a deeper meaning: a concrete effort to fulfill the fundamental rights of children.

The right to play is reflected in joyful games that encourage expression and creativity.
The right to grow and develop is nurtured through interactions that build confidence and healthy relationships.
The right to protection is ensured through a safe and caring environment.
The right to be heard and valued is honored as each child is accepted with their unique story and background.

For Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia, collaborations like this are an essential part of a continuous commitment to creating safe and supportive spaces for vulnerable children. For PMK FEB UGM, this moment becomes a living form of worship—where faith is translated into love that touches lives.

This Easter celebration reminds us that resurrection is not only proclaimed in worship but lived out in everyday actions. That hope can grow even in limitations, and love can bridge differences.

And in the laughter of the children that day, we catch a glimpse of the future—one that is protected, nurtured, and built together.
