Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia received a special visit on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The visit was part of a working trip by Commission D of the Yogyakarta Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD DIY), led directly by the Chair of Commission D, R.B. Dwi Wahyu B., S.Pd., M.Si. The delegation was accompanied by the Head of the Yogyakarta Provincial Social Affairs Office, Endang Patmintarsih, SH, M.Si.
The group was warmly welcomed by the Founder of Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia, Sammy Ladh, along with several board members including Yosua Lapudooh, volunteers, and the children under the foundation’s care. According to Mr. Dwi Wahyu, the purpose of the visit was to observe firsthand the current conditions at the foundation and better understand its needs.
A meaningful and lively discussion took place during the visit. Ms. Endang Patmintarsih explained that Rumah Impian is one of the Child Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA) under the guidance of the Provincial Social Affairs Office, and that various collaborative programs have been carried out over the years. Sammy also shared that Rumah Impian operates a Children Crisis Center, a safe house for children who are victims of exploitation, abuse, and neglect—currently home to 16 children, housed in two separate residences for boys and girls.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Commission D of DPRD DIY and the Yogyakarta Provincial Social Affairs Office for their tremendous support and attention!
