The Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia is once again hosting students from the Social Welfare Sciences Program at the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, to undertake the Practicum Course in Micro, Mezzo, and Macro Social Work. Six students will be working at the Children Crisis Center of Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia for 2.5 months or 442 hours, starting from the fourth week of September until the first week of December 2023.
On Thursday, November 9, 2023, a Case Conference was held, attended by representatives from UIN Sunan Kalijaga and Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia. The six students, Atika Inanda Putri, Diva Widiana, Lusi Widayani, Nurtarisa, Putri Nur Andini, and Yudi Rachmadani, presented the results of assessments and intervention plans for six children under the care of the Children Crisis Center.
During the 2-hour Case Conference, UIN Sunan Kalijaga was represented by Dr. Aryan Torrido, SE., M.Si, as the lecturer of the Social Welfare Sciences Program, and Ratna Junyekawati, S.Sos, MA, as the students’ supervisor. From Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia, Sammy Ladh, the founder, Yosua Lapudooh, the chairman of Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia, and several executives, social workers, and caregivers from the Children Crisis Center were present.
Yayasan Rumah Impian Indonesia welcomed this practicum and is optimistic that the students will make valuable contributions to the children under the care of the Children Crisis Center. These contributions and benefits will be evident at the end of the practicum when the students present the results of their interventions. Good luck!
